Shared Resource Etiquette

CMRI HPC is a community resource. Users should be able to run jobs at any time.

Expectations

• Do not run scripts or computational tasks on the head node.
• When scaling up significantly, use job arrays so you can control the number of concurrent jobs.
• If you need to run hundreds or thousands of jobs and cannot use an array, try to run them outside work hours when they are least likely to disrupt other users.

Peer Review

Talk to peers and have code reviewed by someone with more experience when preparing larger or more complex workflows.
